Statement of Faith

The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God. It is without error, it explains how we are to live our lives, and contains the answer to every problem and question that may arise.

(John 1:1, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

There is one God who exists eternally, who never changes, and who manifests Himself through three persons (Trinity): God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

(Deuteronomy 33:27, Malachi 3:6, John 10:30, John 14:26)

Man is created in the image of God but is separated from God as the result of sin.

(Genesis 1:26-27, Matthew 19:4, Isaiah 59:2, Romans 1:18-32,)

God desires for everyone to be saved from their sin and experience His love.

(John 3:16, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 John 4:7-19)

There is an eternal literal place of life for the saved called Heaven and an eternal literal place of punishment for the lost called Hell.

(Luke 10:20, Matthew 10:28, Matthew 25:46)

Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross for the remission of our sins, rose from the dead triumphantly, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father.

(Matthew 1:18, Matthew 27:50, Romans 8:34)

Anyone can have a personal relationship with God through salvation. Salvation is a free gift from God, not earned through good works. Salvation is only available by confessing and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior.

(Ephesians 2:8-9, Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9-10)

Water baptism was taught and demonstrated by Jesus Christ. Christians should follow Christ’s example as a way to identify with his death, burial, and resurrection.

(Matthew 3:13-17, Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4)

Communion is a reminder to Christians as to what Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross.

(Matthew 26:26-29, 1 Corinthians 10:16-17, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

Sanctification is the continual process of growing in the faith by denying one’s self and following what Christ teaches so that His character may be developed in us.

(John 17:17, Luke 23:23, Galatians 5:22-25)

Spiritual gifts are given to confirm the Word of God, edify the church body, profit all men, and witness to non-Christians. The gifts of the Spirit are active and relevant today.

(Romans 1:11, 1 Corinthians 12, 1 Corinthians 14:12)

God wants to abundantly bless everyone in every aspect of their lives.

(John 10:10, Ephesians 3:20, 3 John 1:2)

God delights in answering the prayers of His children.

(Proverbs 15:8, John 14:13, John 16:24)

God can do the impossible and desires to do the impossible.

(Matthew 17:20, Matthew 19:26, Luke 18:27)

God is worthy to receive thanksgiving, praise, and worship.

(2 Samuel 22:4, Psalm 100, 1 Thessalonians 5:18, John 4:24)

Evangelism and missionary work help fulfill the Great Commission.

(Matthew 28:19-20, Luke 24:46-47, Acts 1:8)

Jesus Christ is the head of the church. The church is one body made up of all Christians. Christians should not forsake the assembling of themselves together.

(Ephesians 5:23, Romans 12:5, Hebrews 10:25)

Christians should be cheerful-generous givers that freely give tithes, give offerings, and give alms.

(2 Corinthians 9:6-9, Luke 6:38, Malachi 3:8-12, Matthew 6:1-4)

Jesus Christ will one day return to take everyone who has accepted Him as Lord and personal Savior to live with Him eternally in Heaven.

(Matthew 24:27-31, Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
